here's one hack a day pal lars sent in...
there is a reg. key you can edit to enable bluetooth headsets on ipaq.
put 1 insted of 0 in:
HKeyLocalMchine\SOFTWARE\Widcomm\BtConfig\Services\0005\Enabled=1
and add a DWORD Enabled=1 Enabled=1 to
HKeyLocalMchine\SOFTWARE\Widcomm\BtConfig\Services\0006
and also there is a key in software\mediaplayer that has somthing in the lines of play unsupported=0 (off) enabeling it must do something but i dont know what, but i supose U people could figure it out.
so if you have a bluetooth headset for your phone and have a bluetooth ipaq, there's a good chance you can use your headset to listen to audio through the headset.
enable bluetooth headsets on ipaqs

5. So does this work with the hp 4150 or not? And will it work with a headset that has a microphone. This would be very useful for VOIP applications.

8. I wasn't able to get this hack to work with my iPAQ 4150. Is this a type-o, add a DWORD Enabled=1 Enabled=1 ? You just add it once, right?? My headset will pair, and it discovers the headset service. When I try to connect, it fails with the following error: Unable to initiate the bluetooth connection (Error code:0x81000006). Any ideas??

12. play unsupported=0 in the media player reg settings is for the option "play unsupported file types", so you can play an mp3 that you have just changed the exetension of (eg *.mp3 => *.1337) helps for avi files with windows media content

14. I'm travelling in the U.S. right now (natively, I'm a Canuck) without my BT headset. As soon as I get back I'm going to give this a try. I would love to cut the wires I wear everyday. I'll let you know if it works. Question: What happens if my phone rings when I am listening to an audio book? Can I pause and answer and then go back or is it a choice of one audio source or the other?

16. Guys, if you've got a phone edition device, the Audio Gateway profile is already enabled. There's no need to use this hack. What you WILL need to do is route all of your system audio to the headset. For more detailed instructions, see the second screenshot in this article: http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30765 :) Psylance, this will allow you to listen to your audiobooks.

18. If anyone figures out the registry setting for enabling audio streaming to a bluetooth headset under Windows Mobile SE, it would be a great service to the world. I listen to audiobooks and couldn't care less about the sound quality but to be free of wires would be a great thing! I hope this topic stays alive and some brilliant hacker comes up with a solution. (By the way, I use an i-mate Jam, tried this iPaq 6315 but this is a thousand times better)

19. There's a reason it's not enabled by default - the quality stinks (at least it does on my 2200 series). Which is too bad - the headset profile is available by default on my new X50v, and it sounds pretty good.
